About Us

The Translational Oncology and Nano/Pharmacoengineering Lab works in a highly multi-disciplinary environment to solve problems in cancer diagnosis and treatment through the combination of existing and emerging technologies.  In our laboratory, we are interested in developing needle-based medical devices for cancer detection and treatment in real time.  We are also interested in developing sustainable non-toxic nanopharmaceuticals that are designed and validated to be safe in the environment and in humans.  We partner with clinicians at the onset of project development to ensure that our work is highly translational through preclinical design and testing.
